How to Prepare for Your Boudoir Session in Newnan
Feeling a little nervous before your boudoir session? Totally normal. The good news is, preparation doesn’t have to be overwhelming. At Kimberly Minor Photography, we guide you every step of the way so you can walk into your shoot confident, relaxed, and ready to shine.
---
One Week Before Your Session
Hydrate & moisturize daily to keep your skin glowing.
Gentle exfoliation (especially legs and arms) helps smooth skin texture.
Rest—your energy will show in your photos.
---
A Few Days Before
Finalize outfits and try everything on. Kristin (your stylist) will have already built your look board, so this step is just making sure everything fits like a glove.
Pack accessories like jewelry, heels, stockings, or robes.
Skip new skincare or tanning products to avoid irritation or uneven tones.
---
The Day Of
Arrive with clean, dry hair and a bare face—our hair and makeup artist will take care of the glam.
Wear loose clothing to avoid skin marks (no tight bras, socks, or waistbands).
Bring snacks and water—a boudoir session is fun, but it’s also a workout!
---
Most Importantly: Relax
Almost every client starts out saying, “I’m nervous—I don’t know how to pose.” And every single one ends their session saying, “That was so much easier (and more fun) than I expected!”
That’s my job—to pose you, guide you, and hype you up until you see yourself the way I see you: strong, beautiful, and worth celebrating.
